About Ric
Ric was born and raised in the Pipers Meadow neighborhood of District 6. Ric is proud graduate of Holmes High School and UT Austin. Growing up in District 6, raised by a single mom and a family of educators, Ric witnessed our District grow and change rapidly these past several years, with working families like his own feeling the pinch of the rising cost of living.
Since 2016, Ric has worked to bring ordinary families into the political process in order to make our city and our neighborhoods a better place to live in. Whether he was organizing amongst his classmates in high school to address gun violence in our communities, or building statewide coalitions to expand healthcare and strengthen our public schools at the state legislature, or serving our city at City Hall -- Ric has always put working families first.
In 2025, San Antonio will have a big choice to make on what kind of city we want to be as we look towards the next decade. As councilman, Ric Galvan will work diligently to deliver safe, affordable, and high quality living for the working families District 6 and our City.
